Human Library: Social Policy Difference Makers

2020 Human Library: Human Library: Social Policy Difference Makers
Hosted by the Equity, Diversity and Public Policy Initiative, the Human Library Event is our annual professional speed-networking event, where we connect Year 1 and Year 2 Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy graduate students with esteemed policy professionals. Our theme this year was "Social Policy Difference Makers," where our guests highlighted the work they have been doing to advance social policy across the private-, public- and not-for-profit sector. All guest speakers are members of the policy arena that utilize or advance social policy to foster favourable outcomes for groups that are often overlooked in the policy making cycle. We have a diverse range of policy experts that came to the event this year including representatives from: the AGA Khan Foundation; Casey House; David Suzuki Foundation; Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives; The Reach Alliance; KPMG; UN Association in Canada; and Plan International Canada.
