Our Vision

The Equity, Diversity and Public Policy Initiative (EDPP) is a graduate student-led organization that promotes an intersectional lens in policy analysis and facilitates discussions on the role of public policy in addressing equity concerns. EDPP is the voice of equity at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. We frequently collaborate with other Munk student initiatives, faculty, administration and other networks at the University of Toronto.

EDPP facilitates a variety of programming throughout the year, including a conference and series of roundtable discussions organized and led by its members. EDPP-led initiatives and events encourage the discussion of gender and identity-based inequalities in the realm of public policy. Our platform provides a chance for members to organize relevant events, engage in thought leadership as well as network with members of the policy community on equity issues.

Who We Are

Directors and Analysts are students of the Master of Public Policy program and the Master of Global Affairs at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. EDPP's continued dynamism is owed to the wide range of interests, disciplines and backgrounds students bring to the initiative.

Our History

EDPP began as the Gender and Public Policy initiative in 2013. Since then, we have grown our mandate to bring intersectionality and equity together in the exploration of all identity-based inequalities in public policy.
