What is EDPP and what do we do?

The Equity, Diversity and Public Policy Initiative (EDPP) is a graduate student-led organization at the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. We aim to explore the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion in the design, implementation, and evaluation of public policy. We are a safe space for students to express their opinions, share experiences, and advocate for equity within the Munk community. We promote the adoption of an intersectional lens in policy analysis and encourage discussions of identity-based inequalities in the realm of public policy and global affairs. We work in collaboration with Munk student initiatives, faculty and administration and other networks within the University of Toronto landscape. Our platform provides a chance for analysts to organize relevant events, engage in thought-leadership, and network with members of the policy and global affairs community on equity issues. In other words, if you are passionate about DEI and want to apply integrate these values into a career in public policy or global affairs, then EDPP is the right SLI for you!
