Meet the 2023-2024 Directors
Anuva is a Second Year Master of Public Policy Candidate at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy who is passionate about uplifting marginalized voices and encouraging an equitable and inclusive society.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University, with an Honours in Political Science, specializations in Research and Public Policy, and a Minor in Philosophy. In 2022-2023, she held the role of Equity Analyst with the Equity Diversity and Public Policy Initiative and was the Team Lead for the Public Good Initiative consulting project with First Work Ontario. Anuva seeks to uplift communities through her professional and personal life by advocating for those who have faced systemic barriers that have hindered their individual and community development. Her interests revolve around social policy areas including public health and health policy, accessibility policy, economic reconciliation work, amongst others. Anuva values listening to diverse perspectives and leading with empathy in her pursuit of creating safe and supportive spaces for students of various backgrounds. She is excited to welcome incoming students to EDPP! |
Urszula is a Second Year Master of Public Policy candidate at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Science from McMaster University. In 2022-2023, she held the role of Equity Analyst with the Equity Diversity and Public Policy Initiative and was a Policy Consultant for the Public Good Initiative. She is also a Co-Director for the Public Good Initiative.
Before her time at Munk, Urszula realized her dedication and passion to promoting equity and social justice in all spaces she encounters. As an MPP2 Student, she is interested in exploring how policy facilitates both oppression and justice and specifically how policymaking can become more justice-oriented. Urszula is deeply interested in the intersections of law and policy, Indigenous rights domestically and internationally, anti-racist practice, and disability justice. She is very excited for this upcoming year and the opportunities for dialogue and innovation that EDPP supports. |
